Payment of the tuition fee/students' union fee

 

For the admission at the University of Vienna you have to pay the correct amount of your prescribed tuition fee/students' union fee in time.

 Payment deadlines

Winter semester 2017/18

  • 3 July until 5 September 2017
  • Period of grace: 6 September until 30 November 2017

Summer semester 2018

  • 8 January until 5 February 2018
  • Period of grace: 6 February until 30 April 2018

 Increment in grace period

During the period of grace the tuition fee of degree student with citizenship of an EU/EEA country (or persons with equal status) increases by 10%. The students' union fee does not increase.

Please note

  • The amount has to be paid correctly and at once, partial payment ist not possible. 
  • When paying the fee, you have to state your identificationnumber for the respective semester. You can find this identificationnumber and all information regarding payment options in u:space> Financial matters > Tuition fee/students' union fee.
  • Pay only during the payment period of the respective semester. It is possible that your fee can not be assigned to your account, if you pay early. We advise you to pay your fee as soon as possible after the start of the admission period so that the continuation of your studies is guaranteed.
  • Payment by ATM card (Maestro card) is only possible when you enrol for the first time in the University of Vienna. Also, paying with credit card or cash is not possible.
  • If you paid at another University, you have to manually report the continuation of your studies to not lose your admission.
  • If you paid at a University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule, FH), you have to pay again at the University of Vienna (you can get your students' union fee refunded by the Austrian Students' Union - ÖH).

 

 

Payment options

  • By eps online payment via u:space> Financial matters > Tuition fee/students' union fee
  • By online banking; you can find the required data in u:space> Financial matters > Tuition fee/students' union fee (it may take up to seven days until your payment is registered as paid)
  • Via payment slip; you can print it at one of the SB-Terminals with your u:account password (it may take up to seven days until your payment is registered as paid)

 

Successful Payment

Your payment has been successful, as soon as the balance in u:space is zero (0,00). Then you can print your study documents for the current semester via u:space > Personal matters > My documents

Please note, that bank transfer may take up to seven days. The fee can only be recorded on the same day, if you pay by eps online payment.
